Safety & quality

Nobody gets hurt.
Nothing gets called back.

Two standards, and they are not in tension. The crew that takes the time to call a locate and check a depth is the same crew whose work does not come back.

OSHA-trained · Locates honored · QC on completed work · Insured & bonded

Crew in full PPE working a marked-up right of way: hard hats, hi-vis, safety glasses, cones and signage set, orange locate paint clearly visible on the ground.

Safety program

The rules we
do not bend.

Most incidents in this trade come from the same short list, and every one of them is a decision somebody made to save twenty minutes.

Full written program, training matrix and TRIR available on request — [TBD - client]

  • Locates called and honored. No dig on an expired ticket. No machine inside the tolerance zone.
  • OSHA-trained crews. Training matrix and refresh cadence [TBD - client]
  • Traffic control. Cones, signage and flagging appropriate to the road, not to the convenience.
  • Trench safety. Depth, sloping and access per standard. Nobody in an unprotected trench.
  • Stop-work authority. Anyone on the crew can stop a job. Nobody gets talked out of it afterward.

QC process

Four checks, in order.

01 Before

Locate and pre-check

Ticket called and confirmed active. Marks walked before the machine comes off the trailer. Tolerance zone hand dug, every time, no exceptions for schedule.

02 During

Crew self-check

Depth verified as the run goes in, not after. Warning tape and tracer where the spec calls for it. Photos taken while the trench is still open, because nobody can prove it afterward.

03 After

QC inspection

A second set of eyes on completed work, independent of the crew that did it. Findings written down and returned, including the ones that make us look bad.

04 Closeout

Restoration sign-off

Backfill, tamp, seed or sod. Before-and-after documented from the same position. We do not ask to be paid on a job the homeowner is still unhappy about.

Percentage of completed work inspected — [TBD - client]. Competitors in this trade publish this number; it is worth publishing once it is confirmed.

Detail of restored work that proves the standard: a lawn healed over a drop run, or a patched sidewalk crossing with a clean seam.
